Aunt Kate's Pecan Pie
This was my Aunt Kate's recipe.
Ingredients
2 (9 ") pie shells
l box of light brown sugar
2 tea. vanilla
4 eggs beaten
1 stick margarine or butter
2 tea. water
2 C. of chopped pecans
2 Tbls. self-rising cornmeal
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Melt butter.
- Add remaining ingredients in order listed.
- Blend well and pour into pie shells.
- Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes.
- Let cool completely before cutting.
