A good simple recipe.
2 C self-rising flour
2 T. crisco
1 C. buttermilk
- Preheat oven to 375.
- In a bowl mix together flour and crisco until has the texture of cornmeal. (Can use your fingers or a fork).
- Add milk and mix thoroughly while being careful not to over mix.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle and cut biscuits into squares with a knife.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for approximately 10 minutes or until golden brown.
