Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 C. onion, chopped

  • 1 C. chopped celery

  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste

  • 2 (6oz) cans of tomato sauce

  • 1 large bell pepper, chopped

  • 4 cloves, minced garlic

  • 1 1/2 tsp. sugar

  • 1 C. green onion tops, minced

  • 1 C. parsley, minced

Instructions

  1. Season shrimp and set aside.
  2. Saute onions and celery in butter.
  3. Add tomato paste, tomato sauce, and 4 cups of water.
  4. Cook one hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. Add more water if needed.
  6. Add shrimp and other ingredients.
  7. Cook over low heat for 30 minutes.
  8. Serve over steamed rice.
  9. Serves Approx. 8
